Joel Rieck has always been infatuated with various types of music. When he was 4 years old, his grandfather introduced him to the violin and the study of music. While rehearsing in the orchestra at his middle-school, Joel set his sights on the school's collection of nylon-string guitars, and would pick them up from time to time after rehearsals. Being a player himself, Joel's father then showed him the basics at home where Joel decided to leave the study of the violin to begin his love affair with the guitar.

He eventually went on to earn his Bachelor's and
Master's degrees in guitar performance from Tom
Sheeley at Northern Arizona University.

Joel has played for weddings all over the country
and currently performs throughout Arizona as a
soloist or with different chamber ensembles or
bands. In addition to performing, he is also a guitar
instructor who specializes in the Suzuki Method.

Joel Rieck is available for
booking as either a guitar
instructor or classical &
flamenco guitar performer
for weddings and other
private functions.
